Choosing the foam for your gloves

Uhlsport has developed 5 different types of foam to satisfy soccer goalkeepers.

SuperGrip: The SuperGrip foam, which is considered the top of the line foam by the brand, as it uses technological elements to enhance its grip. The SuperGrip is an ideal foam for all types of soccer matches and training sessions and has been designed to last over time, and thus accompany the goalkeeper over a season minimum.

AbsolutGrip: The AbsolutGrip foam, described as "all-round" by the manufacturer, as it gives a rounded shape to the goalkeeper gloves Uhlsport. This foam is as reliable in dry weather as it is in wet weather.

SoftFoam: SoftFoam is available in several ranges, Soft, StarterSoft and SuperSoft. This foam is characterized by the search for a balance between wear resistance and grip. These SoftFoam gloves have a long life and are therefore very reliable for guards. The question is which model you will choose to find your personal balance. More grip, less resistance? Less grip for more resistance?

Aquagrip: Aquagrip foam is characterized by its particularly high resistance in wet weather, thanks to its special aqua component. The grip in wet weather is very strong, due to the high-grip elements that compose it.

Aquasoft: The Aquasoft foam is characterized by its adherent properties in rainy weather, achieved through special aqua elements.

Resist: This last foam Resist is the novelty Uhlsport, for the biggest happiness of the guards, and the misfortune of the attackers! It is composed of graphite particles and powder. The surface of the palm is, thanks to these graphite components, much more resistant to wear and friction. Like SoftFoam gloves, there are 3 different ranges, corresponding to 3 levels of quality. The high range is SuperSoft Resist, often called "Super Resist", which has a soft and supple surface with an additional 3 mm thickness. The mid-range Soft Resist also has an extra 3mm thickness, and has a soft and supple surface. Finally, the entry-level model is the Resist Starter with a slightly structured surface.

Choosing the right glove cut

Reflex Cut: Uhlsport goalkeeper gloves with the "Reflex Cut" feature innovative inner seams to maximize ball control.

Half Negative Cut: This cut is very similar to the previous one, thanks to its interior seams and overall exterior look to provide the best possible feel for the goalie wearing it.

Rollfinger Cut: The big advantage of this cut of gloves is the grip. Indeed, these pairs allow to enjoy an unmatched grip, thanks to a latex coating around the fingers and the absence of seams in favor of a 100% foam.

Classic Cut: The main objective of this cut is to increase the surface of the palm and thus increase the contact area with the ball. The catch of the ball is then more secure.
