New football boot packs

What exactly is a pack?

Brands rarely release a single colourway on its own. They often launch the Mercurial, Phantom and Tiempo, or the F50, Predator and Copa with the same graphic theme. That's what a pack is: a collection that runs through the entire range, from the match model to the entry level, frequently including goalkeeper gloves and sometimes clothing.

The calendar follows the football season. A major pack is released at the start, another at the winter break, a third for the final stages of major competitions, along with some interim releases. This rhythm means that the same model can change its look four or five times a year without the shoe itself changing underneath.

The packs available right now

Each pack has its own page, showcasing the models and colourways it covers. Here’s what highlights each of the main ones.

  • Nike Breakout: the launch pack for the new generation of Mercurial, which definitively separates the Superfly from the Vapor, with the Phantom and Tiempo in the same vein.
  • adidas Chaos vs. Control: a pack built on opposition. The F50 embodies chaos with a white base fading to coral, purple stripes, and an iridescent sole; the Predator represents control with an off-white colour, dark details, and deep red. A women’s fit F50 rounds out the release.
  • adidas Final Rush: the most recent release from adidas, widely available across the brand's ranges.
  • Nike Break 'Em Pack: a broad release across all Nike ranges.
  • adidas F50 Messi and Nike Mbappé 26: signature packs built around players rather than a graphic theme.
  • Nike Black Pack and Puma Eclipse: dark releases, which age visually better and are held onto for several seasons.
  • Mizuno Bright Black, Puma Level Up, and New Balance Neon Tide: releases from less exposed brands, in shorter runs, often the most original.

How to read a pack before buying

Three instincts can help avoid nasty surprises.

The colourway doesn’t change the shoe

A pack dresses existing models. A Predator from a pack and the same Predator in the basic colourway share the same upper, plate, and fit. So, first choose your model and level of range, then the colourway. The opposite approach could lead to paying a launch price for a shoe that doesn’t suit your game.

The pack covers the entire range but not necessarily the page

A brand releases its pack across all levels and sole types at the same time, from match models to entry level, in FG, AG, MG, SG, and TF. However, no distributor carries all the combinations: if you can’t find your colourway in your sole type or level, it’s a matter of selection, not existence.

Also check the model's page

A pack page shows what it contains, while a model page shows everything that exists in that model, all packs combined. If you're looking for a specific sole type, start from the model page instead of the pack page: you’ll immediately see all the colourways available in your configuration.

Why packs sell out quickly

A pack is produced in limited quantities and is not restocked: when a size is gone, it doesn't come back. The sizes in the middle of the range tend to disappear first, often within days of release, while the extreme sizes stick around longer.

Two practical outcomes. If a colourway really appeals to you and your size is common, don’t wait. Conversely, if you’re flexible about the design, the packs from the previous release nearly always offer a much better deal for an identical shoe.

Old packs, the real bargain

As soon as a new pack arrives, the previous one is relegated. Same upper, same plate, same fit; only the colourway is a year older. This is the most regular mechanism in the football boot market, and the easiest to exploit when you don’t need the latest design.

If on the other hand you want to be notified of new releases, the new shoe page shows them as soon as they go live, and the 24h dispatch select brings together what is shipped immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a pack of football boots?

It’s a coordinated release: a brand applies the same graphic theme across several of its models at the same time, from match models to entry level, sometimes even including goalkeeper gloves. The pack has a name and a story, but the shoes that make it up are the brand's usual models.

Are the shoes in a pack different from the classic versions?

No, unless in rare exceptions. The upper, plate, and fit are those of the model. What changes is the colourway and sometimes a cosmetic detail such as a print or a metallic finish. Two pairs of the same model from two different packs perform the same on the pitch.

How long is a pack available?

A few months in general, without restocks. Common sizes sell out first, sometimes within days for a highly anticipated pack. Then, the pack slips into promotions and then clearance, where it remains as long as there’s stock.

Does a pack come in all sole types and levels?

Yes, brands release their packs across the entire range, from match models to entry level, and across all sole types. What varies is what each distributor stocks: if a combination is missing, start from the model page instead of the pack page; you will see all the colourways available in your sole.

What is a signature pack?

It’s a pack built around a player rather than a theme, like the F50 Messi or Mbappé releases. The runs are shorter, the details are more customised, and these packs tend to resell better on the second-hand market.

Where can I find last season's packs cheaper?

In the clearance and shoe promotions, open all year round. It’s the best way to access a match model without paying the launch price: the shoe is identical; only the colourway isn’t from the current season.
