LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL SHIRTS

Liverpool Football Club is one of the most successful clubs in English football with 19 English league titles, 7 FA Cups, 8 League Cups and 15 Community Shields. Although the Reds' fervour is unquestionable, especially at Anfield where the anthem "You'll never walk alone!" is played at every game, Liverpool's shirts are currently the victims of their success every season. 

Liverpool home shirt 2020/21

The new equipment supplier Nike, which replaced New Balance in 2020, is sticking to the traditional Reds colours for this home shirt. Like their nicknames, the Liverpool 2020/21 home shirt is red with a V-neck made up of the two other club colours present on its crest: green and white. The sleeve ends also follow this pattern. The sponsor and Nike logo is white. Since the 2012/13 season, the crest on the shirt is the Liver Bird, symbol of the city of Liverpool and the club with L.F.C. inscribed underneath. The club returned to the shirts from 1979 to 1992. The shorts and socks are also red.  

Liverpool Away Shirt 2020/21 

This season, the Reds' away shirt is turquoise blue with designs reminiscent of the Shankly Gates, the entrance gate to Anfield. The shirt follows the American brand's 2020/21 shirt template with a black round neck and black sleeve ends. The Standard Chartered sponsor, Nike logo and liverbird are also in black. It might seem strange that Liverpool have a blue shirt when their colour is red, but the first colours of the club were blue before they switched to red. 

Liverpool Third Jersey 2020/21  

The third Liverpool shirt is black and grey. The two colours alternate in a chequered pattern. The collar is red and white while the shoulders are black and grey. The shirt has two red side stripes. The Nike Swoosh and the club crest are in red while the sponsor is in white in order to stand out against the black and grey background. 

Liverpool Fouth Jersey 2020/21 

As usual, sports equipment manufacturer Nike has unveiled a fourth shirt for its main teams including PSG, Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham. The Premier League clubs have been inspired by the Air Max 90 collection. However, this shirt will not be worn by the players on the pitch. The Liverpool 4 shirt is predominantly white with some thin black vertical stripes. The collar is red and black and there are two red side stripes. The shoulders are grey and then black. The Nike Air Max logo is red and black but does not fit the standards for players to wear. The liverbird is black. It is a shirt intended for the supporters and reminds the success of the American brand.  

Nike has also released a special jersey for the Chinese New Year. It is mainly black with red shoulders. The Nike logo is gold with a Chinese cultural motif while the Liverpool crest is red.
