UEFA EURO 2024

Euro 2024 is the 16th edition of the European Football Championship, bringing together the 24 best European men's national soccer teams.

Unlike the previous 15 editions and thus the last 60 years, EURO 2024 will not be played in one or two host countries, but in 12 cities in 12 different countries: Rome, London, Munich, Baku, Copenhagen, Glasgow, Bilbao, Budapest, Dublin, Amsterdam, Bucharest and St Petersburg. However, everything is in question because of Covid 19.

51 matches will be played between these 24 national teams, who will be keen to defend their colours, their jersey and their country.

Portugal's national team are the holders of the title as Cristiano Ronaldo's teammates won the last Euro 2016 at the Stade de France against the French team of Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba.

The tournament is divided into two rounds: the first is the group stage where teams enter the competition and the second is the knockout stage for national teams that have passed the first round.

Who is qualified for the Euro?

After a thrilling qualifying round, many European teams qualified and the draw produced the following result:

These are the groups:

Group A: Turkey, Italy, Wales, Switzerland.

Group B: Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Russia.

Group C: Netherlands, Ukraine, Austria, play-off.

Group D: England, Croatia, Czech Republic, play-off.

Group E: Spain, Sweden, Poland, play-off.

Group F: France, Germany, Portugal, play-off.

As you will have understood, some national teams are not yet qualified and still have everything to play for to get their tickets for Euro 2024: Romania, Norway, Serbia, Iceland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Israel, Slovakia, Bosnia, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The French team, the reigning world champion, finds itself in the group of death with Germany and Portugal as direct opponents for qualification to the round of 16. Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappé and their teammates will be keen to defend the colours of the French team shirt, as well as the two stars it proudly wears. For the first time since winning the World Cup in 2018, Nike and the French national team will unveil a new 2-star collection complete with football shirts, trousers, jackets, shorts and other apparel featuring two stars. The new Equipe de France 2-Star collection, specially designed for UEFA Euro 2024, is available on Foot-store as soon as it is released to allow all Les Bleus fans to prepare themselves for the competition. Where will Euro 2024 take place?

At the moment, nobody knows where the Euro 2024 will take place, which will finally be in 2021. The latest rumours point to the possibility of playing the entire tournament in England. However, nothing has been decided yet.

When will Euro 2024 take place?

As you will have understood, following the Covid 19, Euro 2024 has been declared in 2021. Euro 202 will therefore take place from 11 June 2021 to 11 July.
