We were inspired by the warm, oceanic hues of these tiles to revisit our most popular cleated shoe rapide. Now featuring a soccer-specific Nike Air Zoom unit, it offers lightweight support that lets you accelerate in the final minutes of a game, in those crucial moments.
- Inspired by azulejos
- Small blue tiles made of glazed ceramic, azulejos are omnipresent in Portuguese culture. Symbols of national pride, they cover the sides of buildings and churches, stretch across the walls of train stations, bars, restaurants and dot public benches and sidewalks. We combined their blue hue with a metallic copper edge reminiscent of the ultra-shiny coating on enamel surfaces. The unique pattern is reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo's old spikes, with an azulejo feel.

- For the first time in its history, Nike has developed an all-new Air Zoom unit in the heel, specifically designed for soccer. The unit sits on the plate and provides superior dynamic cushioning for players competing on the toughest surfaces and pitches.

- We've completely redesigned the shape of the shoe for a better fit that provides more stimulation to the foot. A rigorous testing process conducted on hundreds of athletes and numerous long-term wear tests resulted in a more streamlined toe and better heel support.
