Description
The 1984-85 championship campaign was a success for Servette Genève, who finished as Swiss champions for the fifteenth time in their history. This title was won by four points ahead of second-placed FC Aarau, thanks to Servette's excellent form at the Stade des Charmilles, where only three points were lost during the entire season. This success is due to the prolificacy of the scorers Jean-Paul Brigger and Marc Schnyder, who both scored in double figures. The results in the Cup were not as impressive, with a second round elimination in the Cup Winners Cup against the Greek team Larissa and a semi-final elimination in the Swiss Cup against Aarau.
