Torino Football Club: seven-time Italian Serie A champions
Nicknamed el Toro or Granata, Torino Football Club is a football club founded in 1906 in the city of Turin. It plays in the Stadio Olimpico di Torino, a modern stadium in Piedmont with a capacity of 28,000. The Italian club has only one colour: garnet. The team has a rivalry with the other club in the city, Juventus. The clashes between these two rival clubs are known as the Derby della Mole.
Torino largely dominated Italian football in the late 1940s, winning Serie A four times in a row from 1946 until 1949. To date, the bulls have won a total of 7 "Scudetti" in the Italian Championship and 5 Italian Cups. In terms of international competitions, they reached the final of the UEFA Cup in 1991. Today, the club is coached by former footballer Marco Giampaolo, and includes the famous striker Simone Zaza and the solid goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.
