Nike Gripknit is a grippy material that offers better touch on the ball. It covers a larger surface area, giving you more room to control the ball when you’re dribbling at high speed or to finish off a play with a shot. It adapts to the shape of your foot and provides equal grip in wet or dry conditions for a sculpted fit, similar to track spikes. The micro-moulded texture works with the Gripknit to shape to your foot for even better strikes from foot to ball.

Quick traction

The wave traction pattern is a series of cascading studs, which engages a larger surface of the Air Zoom unit while providing the right amount of grip. The largest stud is the same height as our traditional middle studs, so traction isn't compromised. We've paired the wave traction with advanced chevron and blade studs to help you stop during quick changes of direction.

Tight fit

The full Flyknit upper is designed for speed. The AtomKnit, an incredibly lightweight and sturdy Flyknit, on the sides reduces weight while offering support. The Gripknit, AtomKnit, and Flyknit combine to form the thinnest Mercurial upper to date, bringing you closer to the ball and reducing break-in time.
