FC Porto is one of the most popular clubs in Portugal but also on the international scene. The club owes this reputation in particular to José Mourinho, who coached the club from 2002 to 2004 and who enabled the club to win the most prestigious European cup, the Champions League in 2004 against Didier Deschamps' AS Monaco.

Founded in 1893, FCP is one of the founding clubs of the Liga NOS, the Portuguese football league, and has never been relegated to the lower division and has won the league 29 times, most recently in 2020. There is a strong rivalry between FC Porto and Benfica Lisbon and their clash "O Classico" is a highly anticipated match for fans of both teams. Sporting Lisbon is also a historical rival of Porto. Sporting Lisbon, Benfica Lisbon and FC Porto are the country's three big clubs and form the big three "Os Três Grandes". Between them, they have won all Portuguese football championships except 1946 and 2001, as well as all Portuguese cups since its creation. FCP's record of success is immense, with 29 championships won, 17 Portuguese Cups, 22 Portuguese Supercups, 2 Champions Leagues and 2 European Supercups.

FC Porto play in the Dragon Stadium (estadio do Dragao), hence the club's nickname the Dragons. The stadium was built for EURO 2004 in Portugal and hosts major events including the 2019 Nations League Final Four won by Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.

Great players have worn the blue and white striped FC Porto shirt such as the Algerian Rabah Madjer, Ricardo Carvalho, Maniche and Deco. Players who have played in the French league such as Lisandro Lopez, Lucho Gonzalez and Joao Moutinho, as well as former Madrid players Iker Casillas and Pepe, the club's current captain. FC Porto Home Jersey

The outfit for FCP's home games respects the traditional colours of the club with white and blue. New Balance, the club's equipment supplier since 2015, has designed a blue and white striped tunic with a V-neck. The NB logo and that of the shirt sponsor MEO is in yellow. During Portuguese league matches, FC Porto's home shirt features a badge in the centre signifying that the club is the defending champion.

FC Porto Away Jersey

New Balance has opted for a Porto away shirt with a very simple design. The shirt is completely dark blue, with the logos of the club, the supplier and the shirt sponsor in white and a golden touch on the sleeve ends. The colours of the shirt are in keeping with the colours of the city of Porto.

FC Porto Third Jersey

For this season, the Dragons are wearing a white Porto third shirt with an abstract graphic pattern. The logos are royal blue.
