The playing field is marked by the lines of a handball court. It is played 5 against 5 (4 field players and 1 goalkeeper) with handball goals. The futsal ball has a reduced bounce and a circumference of at least 62 cm to a maximum of 64 cm (football: 68 to 70 cm). The ball has relatively low pressure (0.6 to 0.9 bar of overpressure compared to 0.6 to 1.1 bar of overpressure in a standard size 5 football). Futsal has been played in official championships by the DFB (German Football Association), UEFA, and FIFA for several years now.
