Children's accessories and safety gear
The children's shin guard remains the essential equipment for playing football with peace of mind: it protects the shin from impact and contact during matches or training. The selection also includes leg sleeves, which combine socks and protection in one piece, as well as protective shorts to reinforce the hips and pelvis.
You will find the brands G-Form, adidas, Nike, McDavid, and Uhlsport, to equip the youngest players from their very first training sessions.
Child Accessories and Protection: What Is It About?
This category includes protective equipment designed for young football players: shin guards, leg sleeves, and protective shorts. These are additional gear to complement the jersey and shoes, aimed at reducing the risk of injury during play, both in training and matches.
Child Shin Guards: Basic Protection on the Field
The child shin guard fits under the sock and covers the front of the shin, the most exposed area during contact with an opponent or the ball. Here, you can find several models G-Form, known for their foam that hardens on impact, as well as more traditional options from Nike and adidas, designed for regular use in both training and matches.
Child Leg Sleeves: Integrated Protection into the Sock
The child leg sleeve combines a compression sock and a pocket for inserting a shin guard, to prevent the protection from slipping during play. This is a practical solution for active children or those who tend to lose their shin guards during a match. The adidas Team and Uhlsport models in the selection can be worn alone or with an additional guard.
Child Protective Shorts: Strengthening Hips and Pelvis
The child protective shorts complement the shin guards by covering a different area: the hips and pelvis. They are suitable for young players seeking extra protection, especially in positions or phases of play where contact on the ground is frequent.

- The training jerseys and training tops, for non-match sessions.
- The training pants and tracksuits, for warming up and covering up before and after play.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where to find child shin guards on sale?
Shin guards, leg sleeves, and protective shorts on sale can be found on the Great Deals page, which is updated regularly. It’s useful to check it before a sports season or at the end of the season, times when prices change the most.
When do sales happen for child protection accessories?
The sales follow the regular commercial calendar, with winter sales and summer sales as the main events, supplemented by Black Friday and French Days. The Sales page centralises the relevant items as soon as each period opens.
How to properly choose the size of shin guards for a child?
A well-fitting shin guard covers the area between the bottom of the knee and the top of the ankle, without hindering movement. It's best to refer to the sizing guide provided on each product page, as age and size correspondences vary between brands and models.
Is the leg sleeve as protective as a traditional shin guard?
The leg sleeve provides similar protection as long as a guard is inserted into its designated pocket: it's the protection itself that absorbs the impact, and the sleeve mainly serves to keep it in place. Without an inserted guard, the sleeve alone does not replace a shin guard.
Are child protections included in the Black Friday offers?
Yes, shin guards, leg sleeves, and protective shorts are among the items that may be included in the Black Friday promotions, just like other accessories on the site. The selection displayed on this page varies based on the items available during the promotion.
