Copa Football Palerme Jersey Rétro 1970/71

Carmelo Di Bella was a former Palermo player who made a strong impression when he took charge of the team in 1967 and led the club to promotion to Serie A. As the 1970 - 71 season approached, Palermo had dropped back to Serie B but still had the ambition to climb back up. The departure of talented right-back Mario Giubertoni to Internazionale made this mission more difficult, even though several new signings came the other way, including former European Cup winner Spartaco Landini. Influential midfielder Sergio Pellizzaro stayed on loan for another season, and the newcomers contributed to a respectable campaign in Serie B.
