Copa Football Munich 1860 Jersey 1965/66

The 1965-66 season marked the peak of the long and illustrious history of TSV 1860 Munich, when die Löwen became German champions for the first and only time. Max Merkel's beautiful team thus concluded a magnificent three-year period marked by success in the DFB-Pokal, a European final, and now the Bundesliga title.

A 2-0 away victory against their closest rival, Borussia Dortmund, on the penultimate matchday was the decisive result and a well-deserved reward for this exciting team. Rudi Brunnenmeier and Peter Grosser scored the goals, but it was truly a collective effort.
