Whether you're performing tactical maneuvers or just jogging, the navigation and mapping functions built into Charlie's tactix watch guide you on your route. The preloaded colour TopoActive Europe maps provide easy-to-read map data to simplify navigation and tracking your position. The GPS / GLONASS and Galileo satellite signal receiver gives you better geolocation functions than a simple GPS. You can also use your watch to create and track routes and to mark positions such as your campground, vehicle, checkpoints on a route or other points of interest.
Explore the world your way
In addition to map navigation functions, your tactix watch is also equipped with a set of sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass) designed to guide you everywhere, even off the beaten track. The built-in altimeter provides altitude data to accurately track activities involving changes in altitude, such as hiking, while the 3-axis electronic compass keeps you on course whether you're moving forward or backward.

Monitor your performance, training and rest times
The Charlie tactix watch integrates advanced performance monitoring functions for your intensive physical training as well as for your sports activities. The training status is a new tool that automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to tell you whether your training is effective, at its optimal level or too intense. The new Training Effect Anaerobic metric provides you with information on an important new aspect of your training by showing you how your training improves your ability to push your limits. You can also view your overall training load, which measures the volume of your workouts over the last 7 days and compares it to the optimal figures based on your fitness level and recent training history. Wrist Heart Rate
The wrist heart rate monitor Elevate™1 allows you to monitor your heart rate without wearing a textile heart rate belt. In addition to counting your steps and monitoring your sleep, the watch uses your heart rate to provide you with information on calories burned and measure the intensity of your physical activities. It also measures the variability of your heart rate to calculate an effort score that helps you assess the level of activity your body is ready to handle.
Stay Connected
The Charlie tactix watch hangs on Smart Notifications2 when paired with a compatible device. You can receive email, SMS and alerts directly to your watch whether you're on a hike, on a mission or just away from your desk. Also take advantage of other connected features, such as automatic downloading from the Garmin Connect online sports community, live tracking, GroupTrack3, and sharing on social networks via the free Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect™ Mobile applications.

Designed for use in the most demanding environments, the Charlie tactix watch with its plain black design and anti-reflective screen is made from high-end materials. Its lightweight titanium bezel coated with amorphous carbon has stainless steel buttons and offers excellent resistance to wear and corrosion. The domed sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and the bright, high-resolution Garmin Chroma Display™ display includes a user-activated "night vision" mode that reduces backlighting so it doesn't interfere with your operations when using night vision binoculars. The watch is water resistant up to 10 ATM (100 meters) and includes an all-weather black silicone strap. There is also a wide selection of QuickFit® straps in leather, metal or silicone that allow you to easily match your watch to your sports or everyday wear.

Racing power
Check your power data during your workout by downloading our Running Power application from the Connect IQ store to your compatible watch. Developed by Garmin Labs, the Running Power application uses metrics such as pace, vertical oscillation, slope and even wind strength to determine the power you apply to the ground while running. By knowing how much power you spend every minute and every mile, you can manage your pace more effectively and avoid tiring yourself out too quickly. The icing on the cake: If you already own a compatible Garmin device, you can check your power level on it for free. All you need is a Charlie tactix watch and one of the following accessories: HRM-Run™, HRM-Tri™ or Running Dynamics Pod.
